A shimmering aqua grandidierite stone is wrapped in our sand textured gold bezel.
This rose cut stone encompasses all we love here at the shop. Rare and gaining in popularity, grandiderite is a 7.5 on the Mohs hardness scale so it will wear well over time. The enchanting saltwater hues range from light teal to a darker green depending on the light since grandiderite displays trichroism.
First discovered in 1902 in southern Madagascar, this mineral was named in honor of French explorer Alfred Grandidier (1836–1912) who studied the natural history of Madagascar.
